Connected to the MAXIMUS controller, the pyranometer measures solar radiation in real time to determine the light and thermal energy experienced by your plants during the day.

The data analyzed by the MAXIMUS controller allows you to automate and optimize the management of irrigation, ventilation, heating, and shading systems based on key parameters related to solar radiation and temperature.

1. Compensate Temperature Based on Solar Radiation

High or low solar radiation values may require adjusting the temperature inside the greenhouse. Using a pyranometer enables automatic activation of the appropriate equipment to reach the desired temperature. A table allows you to define, with great precision, the number of degrees to compensate based on both solar radiation and cumulative solar radiation.

2. Start Irrigation Based on Cumulative Solar Radiation

You can use cumulative solar radiation to start or stop irrigation according to the readings from the pyranometer. It is possible to set the irrigation system’s run time as well as the maximum time allowed between irrigations, for up to 8 distinct periods throughout the day. Say goodbye to overwatering or underwatering!

3. Open or Close Shade Curtains Based on Solar Radiation

You can close or open your shade curtains according to solar radiation levels. Up to 6 deployment stages allow you to precisely define the percentage of curtain closing when solar radiation is too high. The shade curtain will also automatically open when solar radiation decreases.
